I've always been passionate about media in all its forms—films, video games, photography, and visual art. That passion truly came into focus when I began my A-level Media Studies course. There, I created my first film trailer, designed magazine covers, and produced promotional photography for mock advertising campaigns. These experiences sparked a deep interest in camera work and visual storytelling, which led me to pursue a Film Studies degree at university.
During my time at university, I worked on various creative projects, including my first short film, which I co-directed with a group of friends. The film was well-received at the university’s film festival and marked a turning point in both my skill development and my creative confidence. It also helped me build lasting relationships with collaborators who continue to inspire me. You can watch both my A-level film trailer and the short film below.
After graduating, I moved across the UK in search of media-related work, quickly realizing the importance of a diverse skill set. I gained valuable experience working at a personalized print house, where I honed my abilities with the Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom. I also spent time working in a cinema, where I developed strong customer service skills and a deeper understanding of film exhibition and distribution.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I returned to Wales to be with family. While there, I found an opportunity with a small digital marketing agency, As You See It Media, where I continued to expand my creative toolkit and gained insight into digital content creation and marketing strategies.
